Keynote is highly regarded for its efficiency and effectiveness in covering all the essential aspects of a presentation. It offers its own set of advantages compared to other platforms such as Google Slides and PowerPoint. One of Keynote's key features is the ability to create presentations that can be self-edited by clients, providing flexibility in collaborative work. Additionally, Keynote comes pre-installed on all Macs, eliminating the need for additional software purchases. Users find its intuitive interface and ease of use particularly appealing, especially when compared to PowerPoint.

The compatibility of Keynote with iPad and the ability to make real-time changes using the Apple Pencil are aspects that receive praise from users. Design firms utilize Keynote to deliver client deliverables and create visually appealing internal-facing decks for research findings and design concepts. Solopreneurs also find value in Keynote's simplicity and elegance, using it to create presentations that form the basis of YouTube videos. They appreciate Keynote's menu layout which is considered more intuitive than PowerPoint, making navigation easier.

Keynote serves various purposes across different industries and departments. It is commonly used for quarterly presentations, group discussions, and brainstorming sessions where new ideas are presented. Businesses utilize Keynote for pre-event openers, pitch decks, management meetings, and investor updates. Educators rely on Keynote for building class materials and sharing content during classes. The software's functionality has made it a preferred choice in education companies for business proposals and internal presentations as well.

Overall, Keynote is praised by users for its wide range of features and possibilities while maintaining an easy-to-use interface. Its integration with Apple devices without the need for a subscription makes it a cost-effective alternative to PowerPoint. With its ability to create visually stunning presentations and user-friendly experience, Keynote is commonly used across industries for both internal and external communication purposes.

Convenient built-in presentations and animations: Many users have found Apple Keynote to be convenient for creating engaging slideshows due to its built-in presentations and animations. Users also appreciate Keynote's various animation tools to add flair and maintain viewer interest. Additionally, Keynote receives praise for its elegant and minimalist presentation styles.

However, there are occasional glitches when sharing presentations in Keynote with PowerPoint users. To address this, some users recommend converting outgoing files to pptx format to ensure compatibility with Windows devices.

Keynote is mainly used for all sorts of presentations in our company now, We used to opt for Powerpoint, but now the Keynote is one of the most commonly used tools in the whole company, the reason was the integration with Mac, It comes built-in and has compelling features, It might not be as powerful as PowerPoint. Still, it touches all the basic points much more efficiently and effectively. Highly satisfied with Apple Keynote.
  • Presentations
  • Animations
  • Built-In with Macbook
  • Works with the Whole Apple Ecosystem
  • Efficient
  • Key File Should be Opened in Microsoft
  • Not as features rich as powerpoint
  • Animations doesn't remain the same in PPT
The best case scenario for Apple Keynote is that you get it built-in with any MacBook, so you don't have to download anything and you're good to go for any sort of presentation. One more thing which I really admire about Keynote is that it has really cool animation style, You can literally create some basic video content using Keynote. Animations are also very easy to use, so If you want to have more animations you can just use Keynote instead of Powerpoint. Keynote has never been less appropriate until you have Windows as your Operating System. Another time where Powerpoint takes an edge is when you have to use a lot of features.
  • Built-In
  • Presentations
  • Animations
  • It creates finest presentations and very effectively
  • Animations are pretty easy, speeding up your work
  • You don't have to use any pirated software
If you want to create presentations more often, Prezi and Canva or not even options, both of tools take a lot of time. So the real competitor for Apple Keynote is Microsoft Powerpoint. For me, Powerpoint is so feature-filled that makes it a little complex. On the other hand, Apple Keynote is a very simple and elegant, and easy-to-use tool.

Apple Keynote is my preferred presentation software application. I use it to create all types of presentations for my company: business pitches, reports, workshop presentations, etc. It's great for creating quick template-based presentations, as well as for complex and sophisticated ones that require animations and embedded files. I love Keynote because it's more intuitive than PowerPoint.
  • business presentations
  • automated slideshows
  • templates
  • export your presentation to HTML
  • not compatible with Windows OS
  • large file size
I create presentations for work every week and I decided to switch to Keynote after experiencing many issues with PowerPoint. I found Keynote perfect for all kinds of presentations: pitch decks, reports, lectures, etc. There are many templates available for it, but I use my own. There are also plenty of animations and effects to choose from.
  • Master Slide editing
  • export to PDF
  • opening PowerPoint files
  • saves time on creating professional presentations
  • no-cost solution
Keynote has a simpler interface, which is definitely a plus for us because presentations are edited by people from different departments. It's more elegant and intuitive. In my observations, it also runs faster than PowerPoint on Macs, but that may be subjective. Keynote is also part of iWork and is free for Mac OS users.

Apple Keynote is one option in my arsenal of slide deck software. Keynote is comparable to Google Slides and PowerPoint but offers its own sets of advantages and, depending on the client, KeyNote sometimes works best for their slide needs. By utilizing a program like KeyNote, I am able to create presentations for clients that they can self-edit moving forward. Another advantage is that Keynote comes in stock with all Macs, removing overhead costs.
  • User friendliness
  • Templates
  • Master Slide creation and adjustments
  • Copy / Paste from other programs
  • Text box font resizing
Well Suited: Setting up in-person presentations for clients. The transitions are nicely integrated, the master template easily adjusted, and the file size relatively small for ease in download and emailing as a leave behind.

Less Appropriate: Clients often feel that EVERYTHING needs to be set up as a slide deck. However, it is key to listen to the client's needs to first determine the final output. What was initially predetermined to be a slide deck may often be more effective as an email, brochure, or flyer. Keynote does what it is intended to, well, but that doesn't mean that it should ALWAYS be the end product format.
  • Universally available to all with an Apple computer
  • Ease in client editing and updates
  • Template set up
  • When Keynote is the preferred format, I'm able to save the client an average of 2–3 hours on a project (when compared with using Google Slides or PowerPoint) due to the slick UI.
  • Clients will often come to me for projects that they'd historically attempted themselves once they see the professional output Keynote providers (in lieu of a program like Canva).
While I don't use Keynote for every slide deck project need (software preference often is dictated by what the client has access to), I will promote KeyNote as the preferred format if the client is software-agnostic. The drag and drop feature is incomparable with other software options — a feature I've come to love and miss when I am required to use another program. As previously mentioned, the smooth interface and master template user-friendliness also helps raise Keynote above their competition.

I use Apple Keynote for the preparation of any sort of presentation (pitch decks, management meetings, investor updates). We are also utilizing this tool to prepare short 1-pager leaflet information on our products and services. The tool seems to be way easier to use than its MS equivalent. Also, elements in the slides do not get "messed up" when you move elements on the slides - as happens in the competition's tools.
  • Preparation of pitch deck.
  • Preparation of 1-pager product leaflets.
  • Turning slides into shareable pdf.
  • Easier operating on iPad devices.
  • Collaboration option right from the desktop app.
  • Better features for optimizing pdf size.
Apple Keynote is a perfect tool for creating any sort of presentation/slides - whether it is an investor update, management meeting slides, pitch decks, or short leaflet-style product/service information. We find it way easier to use than competition tools and it improved the time needed for the preparation of such materials.
  • Easy slides preparation
  • Saving to pdf
  • Embedded templates
  • We improved the time to prepare any sort of slides by at least 2x.
  • We improved the satisfaction when working on slides by multiple times.
  • The overall look and quality of our slides increased.
Apple Keynote is preinstalled and free to use on any Apple device which makes it very accessible. The ease of use of this tool is much better than the competitive one. The time needed to prepare the nice-looking and high-quality slides in this tool is much lower than in other apps we used in the past.

Apple Keynote is by far the best presentation builder software. It has so many features and possibilities, very complete and it is easy to use. We used it across many departments. Being an education company, it is essential for building material for classes. However, we also use it to build business proposals and prepare internal presentations for meetings or just PDFs/information that needs to be passed along. Our design team loves it, as you can build the most beautiful presentations on it. Our educators love it too, as it is the best app for sharing material during class, specially with the presenter display that they can customize to their liking.
  • Resources to build beautiful presentations
  • Complete software with many possibilities to customize your presentation
  • Customizable presenter display
  • Possibility to record presentation
  • Reliable application
  • Versatile
  • Crop videos
  • Easier share of file with other users
  • File size reduction
Honestly, if you are on the lookout for a presentation builder software, stop looking. This is definitely the one. Despite some of its (very small) flaws, Keynote is the best presentation builder out there. It is very complete, has so many features and it allows you to just build your presentation the way you want it. It has every resource possible to make the most stunning presentation. In our company, we use it for classes, presentations, business proposal, sharing information, presenting whatever you need during meetings - I even dare to say I use it to design some posts or arts I need on the go. Yes, it is that versatile. It won't let you down.
  • Versatility
  • Reliable
  • Pratical
  • Complete
  • Increased feedback on business proposals
  • Received many compliments on class presentations
Even though Google Slides makes it easier to share presentations and allow the team to work on one file simultaneously, you just cannot compare it to Keynote. Keynote just makes it so much easier to build beautiful presentations with endless possibilities. From a design standpoint, you can do so much more with Keynote. You have many more option of fonts, it is easier to move things around, and it gives your guides.
